Short answer: at TT Coders a flight booking system costs 500–3,000 AZN (about $295–1,765, one-time) depending on the project, plus 100–300 AZN per month (about $60–175) for the server and technical support. On the world market prices vary enormously: from APIs that charge a few dollars per order to custom projects costing $100,000. This article explains with open figures what the price of a flight booking system consists of, what similar solutions cost worldwide, and which costs an agency pays on top of the system.
What the price of a flight booking system consists of
When comparing prices, keep three types of cost apart:
- Development (one-time): building the system, design, integration with GDSs or airline sources, payment system, admin panel, testing and launch.
- Monthly cost: server, monitoring, updates and technical support. It continues as long as the system is live.
- Third-party costs: GDS contract, IATA or a consolidator, bank fees, domain. These are paid directly to the suppliers, not to the company that builds the system.
This is often the main reason one company looks “cheap” and another “expensive”: one quotes only the software, the other includes content and services.
TT Coders pricing: 500–3,000 AZN and 100–300 AZN per month
The price depends on the scope of the system. The scenarios below show where in the range a project falls; the exact amount is agreed in writing after a consultation.
| Scenario | What is included | Place in the range |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | One source (GDS or consolidator), search, booking, online payment, automatic e-ticket, simple admin panel | Lower end |
| Mid-size agency | Several sources (e.g. GDS + NDC), markup rules, multiple languages, detailed reports | Middle |
| Tour operator or consolidator | All of the above + B2B portal for sub-agents, balance and credit limits, commission rules, accounting integration | Upper end |
The 100–300 AZN per month covers the server and technical support; the amount depends on traffic, the number of sources and the support scope. Because we have already built Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport integrations in earlier projects, we don’t develop them from scratch each time — one reason the price stays at local market level.
What flight booking systems cost worldwide
Most large international vendors only give prices on request. Below are figures that are published or cited by industry sources (October 2026; AZN at 1 USD = 1.70 AZN):
| Model | Price |
|---|---|
| Build your own system on an API NDC/GDS aggregator (Duffel) |
$3 per order (~5 AZN) + $2 per ancillary; developing the system is extra |
| Ready platform, annual subscription Indian SaaS platforms |
From about $2,000 (~3,400 AZN) in year one |
| Ready script, one-time licence Scripts sold with source code |
$2,499–9,999 (~4,250–17,000 AZN); hosting and supplier contracts extra |
| “From” prices in directories Indian and European vendors |
From $5,000 (~8,500 AZN) |
| UK SaaS portals Monthly subscription |
£500–1,000 per month |
| Custom build from scratch Development companies’ estimates |
MVP $10,000–20,000; full system $25,000–100,000+ (~42,500–170,000 AZN) |
Compared with these figures, TT Coders’ price sits at the low end of the market. For a fair comparison, check what each offer includes: some platforms provide airline content through their own contracts, others sell only the software.
Costs an agency pays separately
GDS and airline content
- GDS contract: Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport don’t publish agency prices; terms are agreed with the local office. According to industry sources, for example, annual Travelport API access costs about $5,000.
- Amadeus Self-Service has closed: the Amadeus Self-Service APIs, which developers could use without a contract and at low cost, were shut down in July 2026. The only route now is an Amadeus Enterprise contract.
- Airline surcharges on GDS bookings: some airlines charge extra for bookings made through the classic GDS channel and less or nothing through NDC. According to trade press, at Lufthansa Group the difference is €19 versus €8 per booking. So NDC support may add to the price but can lower costs in the long run.
Ticketing rights: IATA or a consolidator
- IATA accreditation: according to IATA’s official information (2025), the application fee is 250–2,500 CHF depending on the package, and the annual fee for most agencies is 200–500 CHF depending on sales volume. A bank guarantee may also be required.
- Consolidator: an agency without IATA issues tickets through a consolidator; the terms (commission or service fee) are agreed with the consolidator.
Online payment, domain and other
- Bank fees: international payment providers typically charge 2–3% per transaction, plus extra for foreign cards. Azerbaijani banks don’t publish e-commerce rates, so the fee is agreed with the bank.
- Domain and SSL: a small annual cost.
- Mobile app: if needed, App Store (USD 99 per year) and Google Play (one-time USD 25) accounts.
What raises and what lowers the price
- Raises: the number of sources (each GDS and NDC channel is a separate integration and certification), B2B sub-agent features, custom design, a mobile app, accounting and CRM integration, multiple currencies and languages.
- Lowers: starting with one source, using a standard design, launching in stages — core sales first, extra modules later.
What to watch out for in cheap offers
- Is there a real connection? There are “flight booking scripts” on the market for $50–70, but they have no real GDS or airline connection — just an interface.
- Hidden per-booking fees: some platforms charge per booking or per search on top of a low subscription.
- Who handles certification? GDS and airline integrations must pass testing and certification; this work should be included in the price.
- Support and updates: airline and GDS APIs change regularly; without support the system quickly becomes outdated.
Year-one cost: a worked example
An example for a mid-size agency: development in the middle of the range, say 1,800 AZN, plus 12 months × 200 AZN for support and server = about 4,200 AZN in year one (about $2,470). On top come the agency’s consolidator or IATA, bank and domain costs. This is just an example; the real figure depends on the modules chosen.

Frequently asked questions
Are GDS and IATA fees included in the price?
No. These are contracts the agency signs directly with Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, IATA or a consolidator. We connect the system to these contracts and advise you through the process.
Can I sell flights without IATA accreditation?
Yes, through a consolidator. The system handles search and booking, and tickets are issued on the consolidator’s account. Once sales grow, IATA accreditation becomes worth considering.
Is the monthly fee mandatory?
A live booking system needs a server, monitoring and regular updates, because GDS and airline APIs change. The 100–300 AZN per month covers these costs.
Why are foreign solutions so much more expensive?
Prices reflect salary levels in the vendor’s country, the sales model (licence, subscription or per-booking fee) and the services included. Custom-build estimates are mostly calculated at European and US rates.
